Policies

Cancellation Policy:

There are factors beyond our control that prevents us from being able to start or continue a checkride. Cancellations and reschedules must be made more than 2 business days before the day of the checkride. Any cancellation or reschedule made within the 2 business days before the checkride, including weekends in between, will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the checkride fee. For example:

• Tuesday checkride: the 2 business days are Friday and Monday. Cancel by end of day Thursday at no charge. A cancellation on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday will be charged.

Failure to show up will be charged (50% / the full checkride fee). Any fee owed must be paid before a new date is scheduled.

If a checkride can't take place due to weather or an aircraft maintenance issue, there is no fee, and I'll reschedule at the earliest available date. No refunds are issued after the checkride has started. If it is discontinued due to weather or maintenance, I'll complete it at the earliest available date at no additional charge. If the applicant discontinues for illness or any other reason, a recheck fee may apply

Travel Expenses:

For checkrides conducted outside the Portland metro area, the applicant or flight school is responsible for all travel expenses. Travel by car will be reimbursed at the current IRS standard mileage rate ($0.725 per mile). If air travel is required, the applicant or flight school is responsible for airfare, hotel accommodations, and rental car.

Payment:

Acceptable forms of payment are - Cash, Check, or Direct Deposit through your Flight School all payable to WINN LLC
